The fictitious yet wonderfully satirical cartoon band Dethklok have became a headlining act on the road, released two bigger albums and exposed a whole new pack of people to jokes about Dimmu Borgir. The third season of the TV show ‘Metalocalypse’ — called ‘The Dead Man,’ due to the life altering effects the assassination of their manager has upon them — debuted back in November when the show’s episodes jumped from the 11-minute mark to 21 minutes long.
On Nov. 2, the DVD will be released as well as a jam packed Blu-ray — a first for the show.
“We’re all very excited about the Blu-ray thing because we produce the show at a really high resolution. Finally people will get to see how hard our art director works!” said co-creator Brendon Small.
Exclusive special features to the Blu-ray consist of Nathan Explosion reading from William Shakespeare’s ‘Othello’ and five music videos that were featured on Dethklok’s last tour, among other things. Both versions contain extended scene features, Facebones background art tour and a feature called ‘Skwisgaar and Nathan ordering at the drive-thru.’

Well, it isn’t released till November so maybe the are going to finish the season on tv first. I thought it was suppose to start again in August.

Stoked about the idea of getting the 3rd season on Blu-Ray, but I admit that I’m more excited for a Dethalbum III. Still not sure if that’s even going to happen, but sweet fuck all if I can’t wish for a shiny disc containing something along the lines of “Scrambles the Death Dealer” spinning in my car.
Oh wow so much want. There are no Dethklok things in UK :,( just season 1 dvd. I have to order from US for everything.
before I place a pre-order, anyone know what region code the blu-ray is going to be? reason I ask is that some programmes are being released ABC and are 1080i rather than p to make it possible, they’ve done it with the most recent series of Doctor Who here. If not it’s the DVD for me.
I have been checking this site and doing random Google searches for several months now hoping for some tidbit of information on a possible Dethalbum III (or whatever they end up calling it) ever since I saw the first episode of Season 3. I want the full version of the song they played at the concert at the end of Episode 1 so bad. I find myself randomly playing that episode and fast forwarding to the end just to hear the song. Does ANYONE have ANY info on a possible new album being released??
No info yet, but I will Let everyone know as soon as I do. Apparently Brendon Small is working on a solo album due out this fall with Gene. I will keep yall posted.
Does anyone else think that poisonwood is the worst band ever? Megan.Metal and her computer animated friens are the worst one girl band in the history of women sucking!!! So.. does this mean there is any news on the new album? Looking forward to it, need some new music. Not that their Pantera and their first two albums aren’t great, I just could use some new stuff.
