I think the main reason Dethklok is awesome is diversity. You have influences of DETH metal, black metal, power metal and classic rock to name a few. This way, many different audiences are reached and captured, and as we've seen already, it works.

I think innovation has a lot to do with why Dethklok rules so hard. I mean what other band can rock your f$%king skull off too and still laugh afterwards when one stabs the other one, or something equally brutal.

I agree. It may not sound like it, but Innovation is a key reason in the awesomeocity that is Dethklok. Diversity is great, especially when naysayers are like "I CANT UNDERSTAND IT DERP DERP" they still have something to enjoy.
