While looking through my receipts for '07

I took special notice of the ones that had video game purchases on them. From what I can tell, last year I averaged buying one video game a week despite being unemployed for 2 months. For those that don't, that's 52 video games I bought last year alone.

Fan-freaking-tastic! Easily my favorite game to come out this year. To be fair though, I'm a Resident Evil fanatic and I've been waiting for an on rails RE shooter for over a decade so I'm probably just a tad biased.

You can use the Wii Zapper with it too.

So its worth 50 bucks? because I was planing on saving it for SSBB

To me it is most definitely worth $50. It fills in a lot of background information from some of the previous games, and I friggin' love on rails shooters. This game is definitely not everybody's cup of tea though. If it's possible I'd suggest a rental first.

Well I finally went out and bought myself a 360 for Christmas....
But I will not be spending the kind of money above..

So basically 52 x 30-60 bucks each..... something like 2500.00 bucks?

Not that I can recall. I tend to play it the most when I've been up for a long time, so I don't remember specifics all that well sometimes.

Not quite, I tend to buy a lot of games used and Guitar Hero 2/3 were 90 and 100, Rock band was 180, and Halo 3 was 130.

On 360 games (including the arcade games) I spent about $1,010.
$80 on Wii games.
$53 for XBOX.
$272 for PS2.
$79 for GameCube.
$2 for PS1.
$205 for the DS.
$35 for the GBA.

Total I spent about $1,736 on video games last year excluding console costs.
I bought an XBOX 360 elite, used slim PS2, used original DS, and a used GBA Micro adding up to about another $800. Adding that to what I spend on games your guess of $2,500 was very close.

I did however get $250 for my old 360 so $2,250 is a pretty accurate total of my overall out-of-pocket gaming expenses for '07.

When I add it all up I realize how sad that is. I assure you all I do in fact have a healthy social life... for real.

Well I got the 360 elite also... its pretty nice....
Pretty much bought it becase I wanted the HD DVD player... but after last night I pretty much already know at least in the begining it will effect my non-existant social life a bit...

What are the Top 5 best Xbox games...?
The XBOX 360 has a very wide selection of first person shooters, so I'll list those sperately incase those don't float your boat.

My favorites are:
Dead Rising
Overlord
Dynasty Warriors Gundam
Dead or Alive 4
Any of the Guitar Hero games/Rock Band

My favorite shooters:
Halo 3
Call of Duty 4 or 2 (3 isn't very good)
Bioshock

That said for the more intense long games -I bought Assassin's Creed andMass Effect and I have to say both are very good....

Just depends on the intensity of game play - I assume I will need to get the new Call of Duty becase everyone I know is playing it... but now that you say Bioshock that will be one to get eventually also...

Call of Duty 4 is pretty popular, even my friend who hated the Call of Duty series bought it. The online play isn't that good in my opinion, the spawning is terrible to say the least. Despite that I'd say it's a must have if you enjoy FPS games. I still need to get it, Assassin's Creed, and Mass Effect.

Naruto Rise of a Ninja for the 360. That's probably the longest I've gone without buying a game in about a year.
