Met Once
One-time characters – Well most of them…..
In each episode, the band will often meet with random people for various reasons, usually relating to their music. With a few exceptions, most of the people they meet are either killed or horribly mutilated, often by sheer coincidence.
Dick “Magic Ears” Knubbler
Dick Knubbler, with his new robotic, chameleon-like eyes
Dick Knubbler is a music producer sent to monitor Dethklok’s album recording in the episode “Dethwater.” Dethklok’s label sent him to work with the band as a condition for allowing the band to record their new album in a submarine in the Mariana Trench. Knubbler has a long list of felonies, including tax evasion, disfiguring a co-worker’s face with acid, and soliciting prostitution and drugs, all of which are supposed to lead to a 25-year sentence. The Tribunal acquired his services as a “man on the inside” to report on Dethklok’s actions during the recording. After hearing the track “Murmaider” (with his eyes bleeding and glasses breaking due to the volume level), his tune changed, and he began praising Dethklok and the album, promising to report to the label upon his return to the surface. While traveling back in a bathysphere, he turned down his planned report to the Tribunal. Afterwards, his attempt to escape a giant seahorse, mutated by leaking radioactive fuel from Dethklok’s submarine, causes his eyes to explode from rapid decompression.
In cutaways from the end credits, a newspaper headline claims “New Dethklok Album is so awesome, it blinds Producer.” Another cutaway from a magazine cover shows Knubbler’s supposed resurgence on the music scene, and details his eye surgery for his new “dark metal” robotic eyes. In the episode “Dethkomedy,” Knubbler (with his new robotic eyes) makes a cameo in the crowd of Dethklok’s court case, and is seen laughing at jokes made by the band. He returned in the episode “Dethkids,” where he served as the producer for Murderface’s long-awaited Planet Piss side project. In addition to their obvious sensory functions, Knubbler’s robotic eyes can also look in multiple directions simultaneously, much like a chameleon‘s, which aids him in operating Dethklok’s complicated, high-end mixers. The eyes glow in response to his mood (red for anger, green otherwise). Knubbler seems to have been hired by the band to help them in producing records, as The Dethalbum credits him with producing, engineering, and mixing it. In “Dethvengeance”, he helps the band move all their songs onto their newly-created “water format”, only to be annoyed when the band uses said water for mundane everyday tasks.
Dr. Rockso
Dr. Rockso is a “rock ‘n’ roll clown.” (“Rock n’ roll clown” may be a reference to lyrics in Def Leppard’s song, “Photograph”.) He does cocaine. He mentions this fact quite loudly and frequently, it is even the primary theme in his music video. He talks in a high-pitched voice, which every member of the band except Toki find irritating. He wears a very tight neon green jumpsuit with cutouts that expose almost his entire torso and, in the back, some of his buttocks. The rest of his outfit includes a combination cap, long wig, KISS-like face paint, furry boots, and a spiky red nose. The colors of his clothing and hair sometimes change between episodes, but are always gaudy and fluorescent.
In the episode “Birthdayface,” Dethklok hired him as entertainment for Murderface’s birthday party, where he made him a Bootsy Collins Space Bass guitar out of balloons. Not long after, Murderface snapped and began shoving the balloon bass down Rockso’s throat, before the Dethklok roadies beat the Doctor mercilessly. He reappeared in a short cameo in “Bluesklok” during the Tribunal’s presentation as a victim of “celebrity depression.”
Dr. Rockso made his proper return in “Dethklown,” where he befriends Toki Wartooth. How they became friends isn’t elaborated upon, though Toki says he thinks Dr. Rockso is funny and he likes to laugh. After Ofdensen throws him out of Mordhaus and orders the roadies to ‘put the boots to him medium style’, the Tribunal hires Dr. Rockso to gather information about Dethklok from the inside. Rockso succeeds in taking numerous pictures of Mordhaus, using a camera hidden in his hat, but is forced to flee when Ofdensen catches him opening a safe in the manager’s office. He is last seen running out of the house and jumping through a window amid gunfire. Ofdensen opts not to have anyone kill him, ordering the roadies instead to “see where he goes.” He lived to report back to the Tribunal, but what he found was not revealed during the rest of the season.
Rockso seems to be an amalgam of parodies, covering much of rock and roll’s most garish personalities, such as KISS, Twisted Sister, and David Lee Roth. He mentions that his video was banned from “music television” because his “junk” can be seen through his jumpsuit, which was also briefly true of MTV and David Lee Roth’s “Just a Gigolo” video for being too racy. In the video for “I’m Just a Rock ‘n’ Roll Clown,” Doctor Rockso’s high-kicking jump, use of sexy girls, high pitched screams, and surprised mugging for the camera all hearken back to Roth’s video and on-camera antics.
Dethklok also meets a certain unnamed doctor twice in the first season. He is first shown talking to Dethklok about neutering the Fat Kid in “Fat Kid at the Detharmonic.” He advises against their idea of neutering and suggests to Dethklok to lower the amount of sugar his diet. To this, Pickles responded that they couldn’t do that, as it would be Nazi-like. The doctor finally neuters the Fat Kid with much reluctance. Secondly, the doctor is shown in “Girlfriendklok,” attending to Rebecca Nightrod after her accident. He tells Nathan “Well, she’s in a coma, and if you want to talk to her, she can hear you… whatever.” Note that the doctor that appears in “Mordland,” who is shown just before performing the procedure to replace Nathan’s liver due to his excessive drinking, is a different doctor.
Prince Henry of Denmark – The young and stupid heir to the throne of Denmark. His idol Murderface headbutted him during a concert, fracturing his skull. Presumably was made King after the untimely death of his mother from mercury poisoning. Dr. Roxo, the Rock and Roll Clown – He was a clown hired to perform at Murderface’s birthday party. He resembles David Lee Roth and members of KISS. Murderface had him severely beaten. He is seen briefly in the episode “Bluesklok” during The Council’s presentation on celebrity depression. He will make a starring appearance in the episode Dethclown, airing on 11/26/2006.
Lorkey the Sailor – A sea captain that trains Dethklok to be funny for their comedy routines. Committed suicide after realizing he couldn’t teach them any more. Voiced by Metallica frontman James Hetfield.
Mustakrakish - Finnish Lake Troll – It’s an F-ing Lake Troll – Sadly that’s all we really know… well it likes eating people…. and there is a song about him: Awaken!
Nick Ibsen – A TV personality resembling Larry King. He was killed by electrocution through a pool of his own blood (which inspired Nathan Explosion to write the song “Bloodricuted”).
Serveta Skwigelf – Former Ms. Sweden 1956, and the single mother of Skwisgaar.
Anja and Reverend Auslarg Wartooth – The extremely religious parents of Toki. They live in an abandoned village near Lillehammer, Norway.
Stella and Thunderbolt Murderface – Grandparents who raised William after the chainsaw murder/suicide of his parents. Thunderbolt suffered a massive stroke some time in the past and Stella tows him in a wagon behind her Rascal scooter until Murderface buys him a wheelchair controlled by blinking.
Calvert and Molly – Pickles’ parents. They reside in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
Seth – Pickles’ older brother. An ex-con who constantly tries to make money off of Pickles’ fame.
Rose and Oscar Explosion – Nathan’s parents. They live in Victory Gardens, an armed forces retirement community in Florida.
Doctor Johnathan Twinkletits (pronounced “twin-klet-its”) – A insane band therapist hired to keep Dethklok from having another fight on-stage. Former member of a band known as “The Amazlingtons,” whom he killed after they disbanded. When he attempted to kill Dethklok after they fired him, he slipped on a banana sticker and fell into Mordhaus’s front yard where the “yard wolves” reside. The wolves subsequently ripped his arms off….. he reappears in Cleanzo…..
Antonio “Tony” DiMarco Thunderbottom – Bassist from Snakes ‘n Barrels. A former alcoholic and drug addict, now sober. He was driven insane by the military-developed drug “Totally Awesome Sweet Alabama Liquid Snake.” Voiced by Arch Enemy guitarist Michael Amott.
Sammy “Candynose” Twinskins – Drummer from Snakes ‘n Barrels. Formerly addicted to cocaine, but has since become sober. He was driven insane by the military-developed drug “Totally Awesome Sweet Alabama Liquid Snake.” Voiced by Nevermore singer Warrel Dane.
Snizzy “Snazz” Bullets – Rhythm Guitar player from Snakes ‘n Barrels. Suffers from partial facial paralysis due to hallucinogen and heroin abuse. He was driven insane by the military-developed drug “Totally Awesome Sweet Alabama Liquid Snake.” Voiced by Nevermore guitarist Steve Smyth.
Eric and Edgar Jomfru
Edgar Jomfru and his brother Eric are the proprietors of diefordethklok.com, a Dethklok fan site run out of Sandusky, Ohio. Their site is the biggest in existence. They try to blackmail Dethklok by recording one of their exclusive songs and threatening to release it on the Internet. In return, Ofdensen leads them into a sniper-filled hallway in order to kill them. Eric’s head was shot off by one of Dethklok’s sniper roadies the moment the door closed, but Edgar, despite being in a wheelchair, managed to evade every sniper bullet and was subsequently imprisoned by Dethklok. His ordeal in Dethklok’s prison clearly drove him insane: having recovered the remains of his brother’s face from the incident, he makes them into a mask for a fellow imprisoned fan who is put into his cell. He digs his way out of the prison in the episode “Dethvengeance”, the fan tied to his back despite the latter not being handicapped. He is rescued by 216′s brother after escaping through the sewage system.
Update: 100907
Edgar now returns in the Dungeon of MordHaus in Season 2 Episode 2 where he and another fellow song stealing fan attempt escape.
Fat Kid/Fatty/Fatty Ding-Dong/Fat Tits (the list goes on and on) – Feral mutant child adopted by Dethklok in a misguided attempt to get a tax writeoff. They treat him like a pet rather than a person. They neuter him in an attempt to calm him down, arguing that it is less Nazi-like than limiting his sugar intake. Responsible for cutting the London Philharmonic Orchestra in half with beams from Dethklok’s “Mother-Laser-Fucking Light Show.” He was killed by feral cats after being left on an island which Dethklok had earlier dubbed the “Dethklok Home for Wayward Kitties”.
Sergio Pampenheiser – Television personality selling quality guitars on TV. It is likely that Sergio is a reference to the musician-turned-guitar-salesman Esteban, who is famous for selling quality guitars at affordable prices on television shopping networks.
216 – Government agent sent to kill Dethklok disguised as one of their workers. Murdered two Dethklok employees while trying to get to Dethklok. He was impaled on Murderface’s codpiece after being tripped and falling. Voiced by King Diamond.
216′s brother
This unnamed man is the brother of Agent 216, a man hired by General Crozier to kill Dethklok, only to meet his end after falling upon Murderface’s diamond-studded codpiece. 216′s brother is a psychotic sociopath who wears a metal mask, first seen in a slaughterhouse surrounded by dismembered people hanging from hooks (including one live person he was in the middle of cutting open). General Crozier recruits him for the assault on the Dethwater concert, supposedly so he can avenge his brother’s death, although Crozier has ulterior motives. As he prepares to kill Skwisgaar and Toki, he himself is seriously wounded by Ofdensen (his right arm broken, stabbed in the side, and kicked into a body of water).
He returns in the episode “Dethvengeance”, alive but now wearing a metal support for his formerly broken arm. He tortures one of Dethklok’s roadies for information, but the man takes a cyanide pill. The roadie‘s head was then crushed by 216′s brother in his anger. He rescues Edgar Jomfru (floating on his unconscious cellmate, a fan imprisoned for illegal downloading), who escaped from Dethklok’s underground prison, for an unknown purpose.
Seth – Pickles Idiot brother – Ex con – POS – Now in charge of Dethklok Australia
Finnish Bartender – Not a lot is known about this character other than he is a bartender and very strange and probably smells quite strange.
Mashed Potato Johnson – The oldest living blues guitarist. Supposedly made a deal with the devil for blues talent.
The Blues Devil – A being with whom people sell their souls (or in Dethklok’s case, a $5 Hot Topic gift card) in exchange for fame in the blues genre.
Prayer Bolt – Christian rock band whose show Dethklok attended to help Murderface find religion. The lead singer was impaled when he stage dived onto an exposed board.
Juliette Sarmansadandle – Dying, wheelchair-bound little girl whose last wish is to meet Toki. She makes Toki a DVD with her playing a Guitar Hero guitar that causes him to flash back to his own childhood and realize that being a kid is “brutal,” but she is already dead by the time he finally assents to meet her. This causes Toki to have fierce hallucinations of her accusing him of her death. Oddly, carrion beasts had removed her eyes completely before she was dead for an entire day.
Rebecca Nightrod – Nathan’s demanding, shrewish girlfriend, a professional tennis player turned sitcom actress and model. She is controlling and never allows Nathan to speak, and he admits that he is afraid of her and his hatred for her is “the most brutal thing ever.” When he finally prepares to break up with her, she falls down several flights of stairs, ending up disfigured and in a coma, which makes Nathan avoid ending their relationship (she is now the “ultimate” girlfriend since she can no longer terrorize him). She is voiced by Laura Silverman.
James Grishnack – Head of Behemoth Productions, which produced Dethklok’s horrifically bad $500,000,000 film, Blood Ocean. He expressed his dislike of the film by slapping his assistant and ignoring Dethklok’s calls. Grishnack insisted on its release so he could get his money back, even after the band ordered it to be shelved in order to preserve their image. Dethklok’s helicopter broke an oil pump while leaving the premiere of the film and the only print of Blood Ocean went up in flames along with everything else when Grishnack’s cigar fell to the ground. His face melted off during the fire, but a newspaper says he lived through it. His name is a reference to the alter ego of Varg Vikernes, “Count Grishnackh.”
Adam Nergal – The upbeat, sincere director of Blood Ocean. Due to not understanding Skwisgaar, he makes a deal to direct the best he can if Skwisgaar can “say those words as best as he can”; Unfortunately, he is subsequently fired for breach of contract which, as stated by Pickles, read that he is not allowed to direct, note, or berate Dethklok because “it sickens them”, as well as not being allowed to approach the band. After realizing he’s fired, he eventually hangs himself (an idea given to him by Toki). His name is a dual reference to Adam Darski, or “Nergal”, the founder, lyricist, main composer, frontman and manager of blackened death metal band Behemoth.
J.F. Amarth – An elderly, respected actor hired to appear in Dethklok’s film. He was impaled with a forklift driven by Pickles, although it is uncertain if this act killed him, as he still appeared in the film. His name is a reference to the Swedish Viking-metal band, Amon Amarth, and was voiced by Andy Richter.
Alfred Belmer – Likely a reference to the serial-killer/canibals Albert Fish and Jeffrey Dahmer, he is a vicious killer who specializes in cannibalizing infants and toddlers. He was scheduled to be executed for Dethklok’s big return concert, a prospect he despised due to his hatred of Dethklok. He eventually is seen escaping prison when Dethklok’s vehicle breaks down the walls. In the end credits of that episode, he is seen preparing to eat a child.
